Erasmus+

 

KazNU successfully cooperates for many years with European university partners in the EU projects. The University has repeatedly acted as National Project Coordinator of Tempus and Erasmus Mundus, representing the link between the European and national coordinators of partner universities.

New horizons of education for a sustainable development


In June, 2012 in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil)  the Global summit of the UN on a sustainable development of "Rio+20" passed. Al-Farabi KazNU is  only from higher education institutions of the CIS countries, which was presented on the separate section devoted to ideas of the President of the country - Global strategy of power ecological development and "Green Bridge". A meeting of section to which high interest from leading universities, famous scientists and the international experts of the world are shown.

The International Association for the Exchange of Students for Technical Experience (IAESTE)


Is an independent, non-profit and non-political student exchange organisation. It provides students in technical degrees (primarily Science, Engineering and the applied arts) with paid, course-related, training abroad and employers with highly skilled, highly motivated trainees, for long or short term projects. With over 80 countries involved and exchanging over 4000 traineeships each year worldwide, it is the largest organisation of its kind in the world.

CASEU


The CASEU (Central ASian and European Universities) is an Erasmus Mundus project, with financial support granted by the European Commission, that offers scholarships to European master students, PhD researchers and staff members (academic and administrative) to follow a mobility period, in some of the best universities in Kazakhstan or Uzbekistan. These are fully covered scholarships, they include a monthly allowance, travel costs, insurance coverage and tuition fees.

                                   

Hokkaido University Short-Term Exchange Program (HUSTEP)


The Hokkaido University Short-Term Exchange Program (HUSTEP) is a ‘junior year abroad’ type program designed to provide undergraduate students from affiliated universities with the opportunity to study in Japan at Hokkaido University. Participants in this program take a wide variety of classes offered in English in the fields of Culture and Society, Environment, Science and Technology. Students also have the chance to study the Japanese language. In addition, some participants can pursue independent study research under the guidance of a faculty member. There will also be an opportunity to take part in numerous traditional and contemporary Japanese cultural activities. Students admitted to the program are eligible to apply for a scholarship.
