           The Department of International Cooperation informs you about the possibility of participating in a research internship program at the Korean Institute of Science and Technology (KIST)

 

The Korean Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) provides internships for foreign citizens for a period of 6 months, and also offers English language courses (to help students get an official result in English for admission to the master's and doctoral programs), a Korean language program and research studies. .

Requirements:
• The candidate must have a bachelor’s or master’s degree, or is expected to receive it by August 2019.
• The internship provides for the continuation of post-graduate studies in the Master's and Doctoral programs at the Korean Institute of Science and Technology (the university has grants).
Internship specialties:
• Division of Biomedical science and technology
• Division of Energy and Environmental technology
• Division of Nano and Information Technology
Application period:
• Accepting applications from January to March 2019, the beginning of the internship in July 2019.
Internship Coverage:
• Tuition and Registration Fee
Monthly scholarship for undergraduate students $ 900 and $ 1000 for graduate students.
• Medical insurance
• Accommodation in a hostel $ 120 per month (paid by the student separately)
• English and Korean courses (TOEIC 4 hours, 5 days a week, Korean courses: 2 hours 5 times a week)

Application procedure:
1) Candidates must submit an application and upload the full package of documents in electronic format online at the Institute’s website http://kist_school.kist.re.kr/eAplct/write
2) After passing the competition, candidates must submit to the administration of the Institute original documents in printed format on the first day of the internship.

List of required documents:
• For all candidates:
- Application form
- Essay
- Letter of recommendation
- Bachelor's degree or certificate of the expected completion of training
- Transcript bachelor in English.
   (if a student is transferred to another university, he must pass all university transcripts received before and after the transfer).
- Certificate of knowledge of the English language (if available)
- Copy of the passport
- Certificate of career / employment (if available)
* Students with a master's degree or students in the graduate program must provide the following additional documents:
- Diploma
- Master's transcript in English.
- master's thesis, articles
- Scientific achievements (if available)
 (publications, including published articles presented at scientific conferences, and patents).

The Department of international cooperation informs you about the announcement of the competition of applications within the project FREE MOVERS with Vytautas Magnus University

 

Vytautas Magnus University welcomes Free Movers (non-degree students) to apply for Bachelor or Master’s level courses offered in English and English Prep- Course.

Free Mover students are individual, international students who, upon payment are temporarily (one or two semesters) registered at Vytautas Magnus University for courses in the Bachelor or Master level offered in English. They organize his / her studies in Vytautas Magnus University independently.

After their term in Vytautas Magnus University, Free Mover students receive a transcript of records, but not a degree or a diploma. This is a perfect way to collect some international credits!
