Scholarship of Indonesian Government for students from developing countries

Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) scholarship program is a financial aid from the government of Indonesia to students from developing countries. The scholarship is available for master's degree from an Indonesian University. Candidates have the opportunity to choose the master's program of one of the 16 universities in Indonesia in the field of Humanities, social Sciences, engineering, natural Sciences, pedagogy.

The scholarship consists of payment for:

  • economy class air travel to Indonesia and back, including transfer from the airport to the University where the student will study.
  • 1,000,000 DR student will receive upon arrival to Indonesia;
  •  course for the study of Indonesian language and preparatory programs;
  • stay while studying at the preparatory program;
  • monthly stipend while in graduate school (tuition, accommodation, study);
  • health insurance.
  • The scholarship is paid for 36 months. If a student finishes early, he / she ceases to receive a scholarship as soon as he / she returns to his / her home country.
  •  The scholarship pays for accommodation only for one person!

Expenses that are not listed above are the personal expenses of the student and must be paid by the student.

Requirements:

Scholarship may be awarded to candidates who::

  • are citizens of developing countries (including Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan);
  • not older than 35 years;
  • have a bachelor's degree;
  • do not have a master's degree or do not study for master's degree;
  • know the English language (TOEFL 500, IELTS 5 or equivalent).

Before leaving for Indonesia, the candidate must sign the application form provided by the scholarship holders.

The scholarship application can be submitted online until April 30. Before filling in the application form you should read the terms and conditions of the program.

Documentation:

  • letter of recommendation from the Embassy of Indonesia in the homeland of the candidate;
  • letter of recommendation from the candidate's home country government;
  •  2 academic letters of recommendation;
  • scanned copy of passport;
  • scanned copy of bachelor's degree and transcript (in English);
  • scanned copy of the certificate for the knowledge of the English language, which is not more than 2 years;
  • scanned copy of medical examination.
