International Cooperation Department informs you about the opening of preparatory classes in scientific disciplines for the 2018-2019 academic year at the international center Valbonne-Sophia Antipolis (CIV)

 

      The project is supported by the Embassy of France in Kazakhstan, the Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Embassy of Kazakhstan in Paris. Following the visit of the Kazakh delegation to the international center Valbonne-Sophia Antipolis (CIV) from 20 to 25 February this year, CIV is ready to accept in 2018 – 2019 academic year up to 6 Kazakh students in preparatory classes with a bias in the following scientific disciplines: mathematics, physics, chemistry and computer science. The biennial preparatory classes allows students to enroll in the best scientific higher educational institutions of France (such as the Ecole Polytechnique, Graduate of the Central school of the city of Paris, Telecom Paris, école Normale supérieure, etc.). French higher schools have been training engineers and researchers in all fields for three years. All Universities have partners and provide the opportunity to obtain double diplomas in cooperation with the most prestigious world universities.


Tuition fee

The French government is responsible for the costs of preparatory classes.


Accommodation and meals

Students living on campus CIV. Cost with half Board is about 4 300 Euros per year, with full Board - 6 052 Euros per year.

 

Visa

Students will receive free visas.

 

Scholarships

Candidates enrolled in the preparatory classes of CIV, you can contact the Embassy of France to Kazakhstan with a request for a scholarship that will cover expenses for accommodation and meals. Applications can be submitted in the form of a dossier, starting mid-may. The forms will be available after the results are announced.


Conditions of participation in the contest:

- have citizenship of the RK;

- have in 2018 a bachelor's degree (IB HL, or A levels in physics and mathematics), or other equivalent level diploma (certificate etc.);

- French language on the level A2+/B1-;

- be younger than 20 years on 1st September 2018.


Date and place of the competition

- from 16 to 20 April in Kazakhstan;

- the contest will be held at the French Alliance of Astana, Almaty and Shymkent;

- time and № / or the name of the audience will be announced by the Embassy of France In Kazakhstan a week before the contest.


Competitive disciplines

- mathematics / computer science (3 hours)

- physics / chemistry (3 hours)

- French language: B1 level (3 hours). Holders of the DELF B1 diploma are exempt from this exam.

Registration for participation in the competition

The form for entry into the competition is available from March 12, 2018 on the websites of the French Embassy in Kazakhstan and CIV http://civ.classeprepa.net/admission/partenariat-avec-le-kazakhstan/ .). The completed form will be accepted until April 4, 2018 (deadline).
