On March 30, 2017, in al-Farabi KazNU there was a meeting of the rector of the university with the Vice Minister of Health and Welfare of the Republic of Korea Bang Mun Guy.

Mutanov G. M. warmly welcomed the members of delegation: "We appreciate your visit as high respect, high interest in establishing good relations between our countries, between our organizations in General, and specifically in the field of health. Kazakhstan considers South Korea as a strategic partner, and so it is, because in recent years relations between our countries again prove it and reach very good results. Your visit, Mr. Bang Moon Kyu, we regard as confirmation of our agreements and expect that your visit will open up new opportunities. And will be accelerated and decisions we have made with our partners in health".

Director of Korea Telecom Kim Ming Song briefly told about the project, which is now being implemented jointly. In the light of meetings and conclusion of memorandums between KazNU and the Korean side, the project is being implemented with the support of the Korean side, the KT company, and the Busan Technopark.

Results of the negotiations:

1. The parties got acquainted with the activities of Korea Telecom (KT), and al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The main purpose of the visit is research of scientific and innovative activity and collection of information on the development of telemedicine in Kazakhstan. The parties came to the conclusion that the analysis of the company and their capabilities gives grounds for establishing long-term and mutually beneficial cooperation in all possible areas of activity, in particular, in the medical field and in the field of remote maintenance.

2. In order to make a final decision on the possibility of further cooperation, the authorized representatives of the parties will hold joint consultations and meetings, if necessary.
