1st scholarship to study in Macedonia during 2016-17 academic year

As eligible for the scholarship shall be considered candidates who:

  1. Are currently enrolled in the final 4th year of secondary education or who possesa 4-year secondary education (high school) degree;
  2. Have a return airplane ticket from/to the applicant's home country;
  3. Are not older than 28 years of age;
  4. Have a good knowledge of the English language.

The scholarship provides for:

  • tution fees, in full;
  • visa and residence permit fees;
  • return air fare from the applicant's home country;
  • accommodation and food (full board) in the University dorms;
  • additional monthly allowance of 5000 MKD (approximately 120 USD);
  • Free intensive course for learning Macedonian.

The final deadline for application is 31.05.2016.

Documents to be submitted

Candidates are required to provide certificated copies from the following original documents:

  • Application Form
  • Official high diploma or certificate (where available);
  • Official transcrips;
  • Proof of English proficiency;
  • Official document certifying the candidate has no criminal convictions and is not under criminal investigation at the moment of application certified with Apostle Stamp. Candidates should note that with the exception to some countries, these are two seperate documents;
  • Official general medical report, including medical tests for HIV and Hepatitis C;
  • An electronic copy of Passport which must be valid for the next 5 calendar years;
  • Two letters of recommendation from two academic professors/teachers who are well acquainted with the candidate's academic abilities.

All submitted documents must be in English or certified translations in English.

2nd scholarship to study in Macedonia during 2016-17 academic year

The scholarships are available to outstanding students, not older than 22 years old who wish to pursue undergraduate studies in one of the following programmes:

  1. Faculty of Communication Networks and Security (CNS);
  2. Faculty of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE);
  3. Faculty of Information Systems, Visualization, Multimedia and Animation (ISVMA);
  4. Faculty of Infomation and Communication Science (ICS);
  5. Study Program of Digital Business Infomatics (DBI);
  6. Faculty of Applied IT, Machine Intelligence and Robotics (AITMIR);
  7. Study Program of E-Government, E-Business and E-Culture.

The scholarship provides for:

  • full tution fees;
  • visa and residence permit fees;
  • return air fare from the applicant's home country;
  • accommodation and food (full board) at the University's dorm 'Nikola Karev' in Ohrid, the Republic of Macedonia;
  • a monthly allowance of 5,000 MKD (approximately 83 EUR).

The deadline for submission of applications is May 31,2016 


Required documents

To complete the application, candidates are required to provide electronic copies from the following original documents:

  • Application Form
  • Official high school diploma or certificate (where applicable);
  • Official transcripts;
  • Proof of English proficiency(6.5 IELTS, 550 TOEFL, 550 SAT);
  • Official document certifying the candidate has no criminal convictions and is not under criminal investigation at the moment of application certified with Apostle Stamp. Candidates should note that with the exception to some countries, these are two seperate documents;
  • Official general medical report, including medical tests for HIV and Hepatitis C;
  • An electronic copy of Passport which must be valid for the next 4 calendar years;
